Baby Nathan

I went to R**M after gym to drop off diapers and baby milk for baby
Nathan.
It was around lunch time when I reached the hospital. Instead, of
proceeding upstairs where the patient is. I dropped by at the OPD
Annex to say hello. When I got there, the office was closed for lunch
so I decided to go upstairs and pay him a visit.

The couple was there and baby Nathan just woke up. I greeted them and
handed the small gift. They were very happy with the gift and as
usual, we had chitchat. While inside the room, there were a few
doctors who checked up on the patient and according to them, baby
Nathan could well be discharged very soon. It's actually a great news
since he is already out of danger and can go back home. After the
doctors, there came in several nursing students wanting to see the
patient too.

When they all left, we went back to chatting. The mother asked me if
I am also POZ. To her surprise, I told her that I am NEG. She smiled
and told me that it is nice that I am helping out people like them
who are living with the disease. There was a minute of silence, and
if it extended, I would probably start crying. I told her that this
is just a small way of expressing my thanks to the Lord for giving me
another chance to life. She smiled again and when I looked at the
father, he was kinda teary eyed. So I shifted the conversation to
something light. After a while, I told them I need to go and do more
errands.

They thanked me and asked that if I could go back and visit them
again before they leave the hospital. I definitely said yes.

On the way to the parking lot, I suddenly felt hungry and decided to
have lunch at the hospital canteen. There were so many people! some
were even from Thailand. I guess they are visiting for some research
work of sort. Doctors, nurses, admin people. The place was packed.
When I was lining up to place my order. I saw Ate Anna, the nurse
from OPD Annex. She waved at me from the table. She was with another
nurse and just finished having their lunch. She stopped by and
greeted me. Asked me if I will drop by the office after lunch. I
said, no more since I have to rush and do my errands for the day. She
said we will see each other next week.

Minutes after, I saw Lando, the father of baby Nathan lining up
behind me. I called him and asked what is he buying. He said, "rice".
Then I asked him what is he having with rice. Lando, looked down and
said, "nothing, just rice". My heart just sank. Told him to take up
the line with me and I will buy him lunch. Their lunch. He was really
happy and ordered chicken adobo, beef nilaga, 2 rice and 2 banana-q.
After I paid for the food. He touched my shoulder and said, "Salamat
kuya". Again, his eyes watered and I felt mine did also. I smiled and
said, Go! the food might get cold.

M.I.A

I was totally fucked up for the past 2 weeks and it's no excuse to
make my friends wait.
there was trouble in paradise and uncertainty with my health. I am
not yet done crying so zip it! don't ask me!

But what health are we talking about here? You all know I bench press
and attend group exercises at the gym. So what the hell is this
hullaballoo over health?

fuckit! I am talking about my HIV status.

Yes, HIV STATUS.

I had my test last Monday(11/03) and it was one of the most nerve
wracking experience to date. The wait alone was a bitch. They told me
to wait out until today(11/07) for my results to arrive. Good thing
they called me last Wednesday saying that it's already out.

So I came by to pick it up. I actually drove like a mad man, racing
towards my death and meet the crypt keeper. On the way to the
hospital, my heart was pounding like crazy. As if it was drag racing
side by side with my vehicle. Will I die of a heart attack and not
know my HIV status? or die of a car crash right on the next traffic
light? It was really surreal.

She handed me this small white envelope. I said to the nurse, go open
it for me. Im not touching it.
Seeing her tear open the envelope was sensory overload. Seconds were
ticking slowly. My vision were blurred.
The nurse asked me of my initials and birthday. It took me a long
time before I can even speak. She looked at me again, waiting for me
to answer.

initials: XXX
birthdate: 6/26

Then she showed me this neatly typed-out 8 letter word on a piece of
paper.

N E G A T I V E

Man! I started sobbing like a little girl. There was waterworks all
over. i didn't care if I was crying along the hallway where people
can have another feature presentation apart from what was showing on
the telly. I think it was teledrama extravaganza in the afternoon. So
go figure.

The nurse gave me a hug and said, let's go back to my office.

Once inside the nurse's office, I got my bearing back. Feeling way
much better.
I saw a very familiar face - a true Malate habitue in the early 90s.
She is poz and doing her volunteer work in the same hospital.
Naloka sya seeing me there. We played a little catch-up. To my
surprise, another Malate personality was there recently working as a
physician.

The world is really small.

I told them that I am interested in doing some volunteer work. Maybe,
1x a week is okay. They were very happy to hear that. I can probably
do peer counseling to individuals who have no one to talk to. Lend a
hand if they need help - or to squeeze when they feel the pain of
knowing they are positive.

I am dead serious about this and I advocate for choice: to LIVE and
to stay SAFE

Remember the little bitch from my recent post? The one who had an encounter with Mighty Bond? Well, I went to the gym around 7pm and checked out the scene. The minute I saw that the keys were not there. I immediately confirmed that they had to force open the locker.

I approached it and tried opening it gently with my finger.

AHA!

They really have to force open the locker.
How? I don't know.
But one thing is for sure. If it's in working condition, you can never take out the keys without inserting your member's card at the back of the locker door. There is this card slot that releases the key and for you to retrieve your card, the key needs to be inserted back in the key hole.

Oh well, poor little bitch may had a heart attack trying to figure out what the hell happened while he was out there on the gym floor doing a lambada.

LESSON to be learned: NEVER mess with the EVIL BITCH. ad infinitum

Epicurean Craving: Papaitan

For those who are not in the know, papaitan or pinapaitan is a tamarind and bile stew of tripes and innards of goat or ox. This is a popular dish among folks who loves drinking liquor, a typical "lasengero" fare if I may add.  Also, you can find a lot of this dish along highway pit stop eateries when you travel up north (Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte & Sur).

My first encounter with this dish dates back when I was just about 6 or 7 years old. My dad and uncle went to the market in "their" hometown - Pangasinan while vacationing. Me, the ever gregarious boy, wanted to tag along with the grown ups even though I have no clue where they were heading. So I ended up in a wet market.

THEN! amidst the sensory overload of the place. I decided not to join them and asked my dad if I can stay inside the car. He said, NO. Instead, they asked this small carinderia (canteen) if I can stay there and eat while they go buy stuff at the market. The shop lady, gladly said yes.

Who could resist a cute little urchin like me?  harharhar

There were a lot of people walking in and out of the carinderia. All shapes and sizes. I was just amazed with all the food they were ordering. Until I got a whiff of this very peculiar smell and asked the shop lady where its coming from. She gladly told me that it's from the papaitan.

I asked if it's any good and she replied with a yes. In a blink of an eye, she was already scooping out this stew and offered me to taste it. I looked at it for a second, checked out the contents which was something that I have never seen being served on our dining table. I had a few sips, and that totally changed my life.

My dad came back for me and was surprised to see that I was eating papaitan. I may have finished at least 3 bowls of it. I was really loving the taste, like there is no tomorrow.

Back to the present day.

I woke up with a huge craving for papaitan. Looked at the clock and it was already 11am and lunch is just around the corner. Picked up the keys and asked Winlove if he wanted to grab something to eat before we go find TSA locks for the luggage. He said yes and off we went.

Inside the car, I told him that I am craving for papaitan. He said, NO WAY.
If there is anything that he would not eat. It's that - papaitan. The mere mention of it can make him cringe. Well, I don't blame him and a lot of people who share the same disgust with this stew. Can you imagine slurping soup with bile? Har har har, so go figure.

I thought of the mall food court but theirs is not that good plus the fact that it's expensive. Then I thought of this place where I had my car washed a couple of times. There is a small carinderia right next to it and serve a knock-out papaitan. Parked the car and asked Winlove if he would reconsider. His answer was a definite, NO.

Stepped out the car and left him inside. Entered the carinderia and ordered a cup of rice, a bowl of papaitan and a glass of water.

Cost of lunch: P40 (US$.85)
Hepatitis shot: P2500 (US$ 52.00)

Experience: PRICELESS

Maybe I can post the recipe next time =)

Little bitch

Sometimes I ask myself, do I really need to go out of the house and be exposed to insensitive worthless bastards that litter around the metro? However, I always end up braving it out there and take it like a grain of salt BUT with some "peppery" adjustment.

HAR HAR HAR

You know how the evil bitch in me can't be contained when sombody gives me an attitude.

Monday, 12:50PM, Fitness First Gym.
I just got out of the shower and heading towards my locker to change and stuff my wet clothes inside my cute tote. (Yes, people are so jealous of it and they drool while gawking. For this, all I can say is, TSURA!)

The person occupying the upper locker was so inconveniently busy prepping for his gym prancing extravaganza and was taking forever to finish marinating himself with whatever stinky cologne and strapping cheap vinyl contraption on his body. I finally got his brief attention and motioned to him that I will be needing access to my locker.

The little bitch just ignored me! The nerve of that tramp.

So I counted, 1.2.3.4.5.

Okay, I waited for about 2 more minutes for him to clear out the scene, standing a few meters behind him while I recite, a prayer to God, asking him for strength that I don't put this bitch inside the locker.

tick tock tick tock

Little bitch finally moved away but gave me a dagger look as he walked away.

I was dumbfounded. Sharp words that should be lashing out of my mouth, couldn't escape. It was trapped inside and no where to go but to swallow it down my throat.
The next thing I knew, he was gone. Scene totally cleared of his ghastly sight and intoxicatingly awful smell.

I counted again, 1.2.3.4.5.

Got dressed quietly and pulled out one of my little "best friend"

MIGHTY BOND

I squirted almost half of its content into the keyhole and left the scene like Vadge(Madonna) in her music video "Justify my Love"

I am pretty sure little bitch will have a wonderful surprise when he gets back to his locker. Who knows, it might cost him a pretty penny (P500) to open that damn little locker.

Now, thats what I call administered ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT.

Ang lola mo...

Yesterday at the Manila F.A.M.E. convention, I over heard a group of exhibitors talking about someone who just passed by their booth. When I looked to see who they were referring to.

SURPRISE

and More SURPRISE

No other than, Ms. Carla Sibal.

Okay, what was the buzz all about?

Is she a SHE or a HE?
Lalake yan!
Ganda ng green dress!
Mukhang bakla!

It was funny but I kept quiet because I pity lola Carla.
Then again, I don't really get her and how "some" people call her "FABULOUS" "FIERCE" or "STUNNING". Maybe because these people in her social circle are trying to brown nose or what?

In my head, TRANNIES (drag queens, shemales or transexuals) are often called Fabulous. and IF NOT? then that's going to be really sad.

Oh and yeah, what's up with nip-tuck business? It's just awful. It made her look like she OD'd on botox and collagen implants.

Around lunch time, I saw lola Carla dining alone, al fresco @ Kenny Roger's.

6 train rush-hour EEEKKK scene

Have you ever thought of how filthy those handles that you hang on to inside trains and subways? what about those escalator hand rails and public toilet door latch. Yes folks, the list can go on and on. It simply is, FILTHY. like as in EEKKK (all caps)

I had an unfortunate experience before when I was on my way to work while taking a subway. The train car was pretty stuffed with other zombie commuters on a rush hour trying to be at work before the bell rings. Once inside, the first thing on my mind is to get to a spot where I don't get squished by other passengers getting on the next station. Finally found a safe spot which was quite spacious considering it's a rush hour. Why is that? there was this guy in a suit standing and looking out of the window staring blankly into I don't know.  I stood right next to him and I was about to hang on to the handrail. This man started picking his nose and didn't even bother using a tissue to wipe the booger off his finger. Instead, he gently ran his finger on to the handrail as if it was a normal thing to do.

My blood turned white!

It was really gross and I wanted to scream. No wonder the spot we were standing on was quite "free" in spite of the usual rush-hour mob scene. One lady looked up to me as if she wanted to say: move away quickly!. By looking into her eye and reading her body language. It was clear to me that she is also grossed out by that man in a gray suit. Soon as I got my bearing back, I moved a little further away from that man and spread my legs a little wider than usual trying to balance myself while clutching my tote from knocking myself down on the subway floor.

As I finally found my equilibrium, I glanced back at the man, still staring blankly to the window. Again, he repeated this gross act again and inserted his finger back into his nostrils! I swear to God that he's got to have rhinotillexomania! I just stopped looking and pretended that I am not in his presence.

Ever since that incident, I have been wary of touching surfaces like escalator handrails or bathroom door latches. Can you just imagine what goes on to the surface? Flicked or what have you by gross and bored individuals with nothing else to do. I swear, despite the fact that nose-picking is a very common habit but finds less acceptance than audible farting. You will see it everywhere! and often times, people are totally oblivious to what they are doing. Like they were in a trance. Slowly working their fingers or objects inside their nostrils with the aim of removing a piece of dried nasal truffle.

Oh, by the way, if you want to go booger hunting and see where these little critters end up after being "excavated" by their miners? try to check out underneath a table, chair or any other furniture! sometimes even on elevator doors. You will be surprised :)

I miss blogging

I know, it's been over a week since I last made a post.
Blame it on laziness and practically nothing worth blogging that made this site quite a bore. I promise to make better posts next time. But for now, I want to share this really funny video that have kept me in stitches.

Look out for Ms. Georgia (video counter: 1:11)

Enjoy.

168 Shopping and a lot of +

The trip to 168 shopping mall in Divisoria was quite a surprise and I was not aware of bebe's plan of ever going there to buy a birthday present for lola Chuling next Saturday. Since my schedule is wide open, might as well enjoy a day of shopping.

We arrived in Divisoria about 11AM. Had some sweets at Starbucks near Binondo church and walked to Yangco Market to look around for a barong tagalog. It didn't take us very long to spot a very niece piece of Pina-Jusi blend fabric with hand stitched design. It's simple and yet very elegant. And for P750, it's already a very good deal. After that, we went to Carolina's to pick up some really nice buttons to go with the barong. Now, all I need is to visit my tailor and have it sewn for me.

From Yangco Market, we walked to 168 shopping mall which is just about 3-5 minutes walk. Since it is a Saturday, there were a lot of people shopping inside 168. It's a good thing that the building have AC, otherwise it will be painfully stuffy. We looked around for trinkets, bags, dish washing liquid and tons of stuff. Finally, Bebe found a very nice top for his lola and I saw a knock out top for mom. Made the purchase and off we go for lunch at the food court.

Here are some of the photos I took:

Lunch was very good. I had noodles and bebe had rice, vegetables and lechon macau at Mitzi's. Now, this place is amazing! people really line up for their food. They don't care if it takes more time to queue than to actually finish their meal. It is just that delicious and all worth it to wait a bit.

Oh, I completely forgot that we also had kikiam. Now, this little piece of heaven is truly delicious. I don't know what goes inside that rolled up meat with tons of chinese herbs. All I know it's fried until the outside gets crispy. You dip it in sweet chili sauce. Hah! now, thats really mouth watering for me.

After lunch, we walked towards the escalator and I saw a very familiar face.
I just have to come up to her and say hello, even if it entails a lot of pushing from the onlooking crowd and a coterie of security guys.

SCROLL DOWN...

SCROLL AGAIN...

SCROLL SOME MORE...

LAST SCROLL...

there!

I said my hello... a little bit of chit chat and said bye bye. I would like to stay and chat for more but her food is coming and It's already past lunch time. She deserves a quiet time to enjoy a meal. I wonder which food stall did they order from?
Was it Mitzi's? or Jollibee? hahahahahaha

After mommy Meldy, me and bebe walked away from the thickening crowd and made my final stop.

This!

Brothers and Sisters

I HEART the Walker's
and on September 23 (release date), I am going to buy this online (AMAZON)

or a pirated copy perhaps? Hmm....

Well, that all depends if I start losing sleep over this and want to engage in a season marathon. My only concern is that how much of a full 2nd season could this be? Fuck that writer's strike that went on for so long! Season One have a runtime of 988 minutes and had 23 episodes. Season Two on the other hand only had 16 episodes. So go figure.

This season's story lines are juicier than ever and become more complicated by involving a faux walker sibling and uncle Sal finally "came out". Now that's messy.

Can't wait for it to be released. I can already see myself locked inside my bedroom, eyes glued on the screen while drinking copious amount of coke zero.

Ahhhh, life.

Chauffeur

A quick post before I hit the sack.
In 5 hours, I am off to the airport.
Yes, but not as a passenger traveling to some destination.

I am JUST the sleepy (I know for sure) chauffeur.
My sister is off to Boracay for a getaway and I am not, jealous.
Oh well, not a big fan of Boracay anyway. I just find it too "commercial" for my taste.
There, I said it.

Oh, and by the way, cousin IT is also leaving for North Korea today for the fashion spread. Tito Rudy is also leaving later today, for CEBU. Vacation.

While, I will be stuck in the metro.

Sunday training toss + lunch

On our way to dad's house, I asked Christine to park the car at SM Southmall so I can let the pigeons off for a training toss. This is their 2nd training and I am still quite nervous no matter how amazing they performed the last time. There were 8 pigeons this time compared to last which was only 6. The 2 newbies were, Snow (my favorite and first born pidgey of the coop) and another young bird (suggestions for a name are welcome. just leave it in the comments section). We got to SM Southmall West Parking lot and looked for a good space and at exactly 1035AM, I opened the cage and off they went.

The pidgeys flew all together except 1 bird. It was Snow. She was the very last to come out of the cage and after she flew opposite direction from the rest. I clearly saw her flying over the parking lot alone while the other 7 pigeons were already heading home. This awful feeling consumed me and became instantly worried that she might get lost. I went back inside the car and in a few minutes later, I called home to check if the pigeons are already back. According to Gelyn, the 7 pigeons just arrived. The time, 1041AM. I asked right away if Snow is with the group.

Negative. No where in sight.

I became more worried and grew quiet, thinking what if Snow gets lost and never to return.

Along SLEX Sucat service road. We dropped by at Dolor's Kakanin to pick up some sweets for lunch. Dad will be really pleased since he is a big fan of kakanin like sapin sapin and pitchi pitchi. I remember the first time I had tasted Dolor's Kakanin was about 2 years ago when I was invited to a party in Malabon. It was after Ela's medical board exam and we all came for a little celebration. There were a lot of Malabon delicacies like the famous Pancit Malabon and of course these kakanin. After that wonderful experience, I have immediately become a fan.

We had a very nice lunch. Dad served us crispy pata and sea food. Too bad, I was unable to take some photos because my hands were kind of greasy. Maybe next time.

After lunch, I watched a little bit of TV and thinking about Snow. Been calling every hour since this morning to check if she has returned, but to no avail, still out of sight. I got tired thinking and decided to take a nap to keep my mind off what happened. At around 4PM. Gelyn texted me telling that Snow had finally arrived and safe inside the loft. I was very happy and told everyone of the news.

This is Snow. My favorite pidgey!

Just a thought...

Next week, my dear cousin Dexter (a.k.a. Cousin " IT") will be
sashaying his booty to North Korea.
Yes minna-san, cousin "IT" will be in a communist land to do a fashion
spread where time stands still.
Having said that, I think North Korea is probably the world's most
bizarre country. There is no independent tourism! which translates
into: NO BACK PACKERS and you can only travel as a GROUP, or as a part of a delegation invited to the country by the Government. How about that? Rubbing elbows with Kim Jong IL is next to impossible.

According to Dexter, the DPRK Tourist Board told them that they are
not allowed to bring in their PH mobile phones. Now, thats crazy?!
What if they abduct and make cousin "IT" join Korean People's Army? It will be disastrous!

Goodbye to:

hubby Remus
72 pairs of shoes
skinny red jeans
and more

Until Dexter returns to Manila after a week in DPRK.
I am officially declaring myself to abstain from drinking Coke Zero.

Quiapo and The Fortune Teller

If I remember it right, it's been over a year now that me and my friends have been planning a trip to a fortune teller. But for some reason, it gets cancelled at the very last minute. Could it be fate? or just plain laziness?

This morning, after my BodyPump class at the gym. I decided to send Marybogs a text message if her "suki" fortune teller will be in Quiapo. She replied with "Go ka na! andoon yun for sure".

I didn't waste any time and immediately took a shower, left the gym and head out for the parking to leave my stuff in the car. Again, I have to take the bus going there since I know its going to be painfully traffic in that area. Know why? Black Nazarene Friday. Yes, there will be a lot of people hearing mass. Besides, where will I park the car? I don't want to end up with a parking ticket or worst, a scratch or dent. NOT nice.

I boarded my favorite and best friend when trips like this occurs. Special shout out to WLLH Transit.

The ride from SM Southmall took a little longer than expected. There was heavy traffic at the intersection of Casimiro/Cecilles and Zapote-Alabang road. Seeing it, there was only one thing to do - take a nap and be detached of what is happening around me. I woke up when the bus made a turn at the corner of Buendia and Manila Blvd. Minutes before we reached Buendia and Taft. A group of students got off the bus. There were three of them, all boys and ohhh so thug-like. I noticed that one of the boy was murmuring obscenities to the ticket conductor. Soon as he got off the bus. He started yelling at the ticket conductor and driver. He was obviously very pissed. Too bad I didn't know what happened back there during the ride. I was asleep and have probably missed some drama. The kid had a rock on his hand and was screaming at the top of his lungs. He tried to aim the rock at the driver and the passengers started to panic. There is actually a fight going on and I am seated at the very front of the show! The bus driver stood up and went out of the bus. The kids started to gang up on him and the bus conductor came in to the rescue. There was about a minute or less of fist fight until the MMDA guys came to break up the fight. The kids ran towards Taft avenue and fled the scene. The authorities couldn't do anything but motion to the driver that he move on because traffic was slowly building up. The driver listened to the MMDA guys and just drove away. Looking at his facial expression, he was really pissed. Too bad he couldn't do anything but leave.

I got off the bus and took the LRT to Carriedo station.

There was quite a crowd from the Carriedo to Quiapo church. The usual street vendors selling pirated DVDs, rubber thongs and clothes. I reached the side of the church and looked for Dunkin Donuts. According to Marybogs, this is usually where Aling Becky sits and wait for customers. Soon as I reached the area where there are a lot of fortune tellers. I asked a lady selling assorted herbs, amulets and potions if she knows this fortune teller called Aling Becky. She pointed towards the direction of a portly woman wearing red. I thanked her and moved towards aling Becky. When I got there, aling Becky was reading cards to to a female customer. I just stood there and waited out for her to finish. While waiting, I was texting my bebe that I am already in Quiapo waiting for my turn with the fortune teller. Truth be told, he is not into this mumbo jumbo deal and rather do something else which kind of irritated me. Let alone that it's been a week since I last saw him and this is a good time where we can spend some time together. But, he rather not.

I was pissed.

Finally my turn, I asked the fortune teller is she is indeed aling Becky. She looked at me and asked me who had sent me. I told her it was my friend Marybogs. Her face lit up and asked me to sit down. We exchanged a few pleasantries and then the unthinkable happened.

She asked me if I was pissed at someone and if that someone was asking me to go somewhere.

My jaw dropped to the floor and can only nod in agreement.
How can she know that?
Hmmm..... freaky.

She asked me to cut the cards after and a series of "revelations" known only to me was asked by her. Again, all I can do was nod. Aling Becky was really good. No, she is amazing. She read me like a book with 90% accuracy. I was really impressed. This fortune teller trip was really something, I came to ask a few things and she told me more than I ever came for. It was all good.

I slipped a P100 bill into her hand and thanked her.
She smiled at me and told me to come back.
Definitely, I will.

Alabang Wet Market

Good Morning!
Last night I blogged about yesterday's misfortune at the wet market.
Now, it's all good and definitely, a lot of good buys.

Me and Gelyn, left the house a little after 3AM and drove to Alabang wet market. It seems like a different place compared to yesterday morning where in I couldn't even drive faster than brisk walking. Today, parking spaces around the market were a dime a dozen. Then again, I don't want to park there and risk getting trapped later by other vehicles and a brigade of tricycles queuing to get out of the market compound. Instead, I parked across the wet market off Mercury Drugstore for easy way out.

Above, Gelyn is checking out the potatoes

My favorite! Biko (Rice Cake, P25) and Maha (Glutinous Rice Pudding, P25)

Look at the stuff I purchased.
Total cost: a little over P450 ($10)
Half of it went to tinapa (smoked fish) tuyo (dried fish)
not bad, eh?

Back to home base: 404AM

Quick post

Earlier today, around 4AM.
I dragged myself out of bed, brushed my teeth, washed my face and
pissed like a horse.
But why get up at this unGodly hour? I needed to get my ass to Alabang
wet market and buy some fresh vegetables. Why not get it from the
supermaket? Good question! for some reason, I stay away from the
fruits and vegetables from the supermarket. They all look emaciated
and for the love of God, very expensive. Besides, its high time that I
start putting some green in my diet. For the past week or so, all I
have been eating was pork and chicken. It's not funny anymore when you
can hear yourself cackle while writing an email.

However, things didn't turn out pretty well as I expected it. I wasn't
able to buy anything because I couldn't find any parking inside the
wet market compound. I drove around the compound for almost 40 minutes
at a speed of a turtle, looking for a spot. Traffic was really bad and
all I can do was to give up and drive back home.

I have 3 hours of sleep to go before I brave, yet another trip to
Alabang wet market. But this time, I am not going to drive the car
inside the compound but park it somewhere, like Jollibee.

Wish me luck.

This kid is pretty amazing! I really like his version. Though It's not right to be sentimental at 930AM but here I am posting this song. Sigh

Training Toss

At around 3PM today, I drove all the way to SM Southmall and started
my first pigeon training toss .
I let 6 of them off the cage at exactly 3:18PM and raced back home.
According to Gelyn, the pigeons arrived at around 3:25PM except for 1
young bird which arrived 2 minutes later.

Im so very proud of them. Tomorrow, I will do another training toss
but it will be in the morning.

A day of Tuseran Forte

As I type this out, I am officially feeling a little bit under the
weather.
Not certain how I exactly got this but probably from after almost a
full week of revelry. It's pay back time? probably so.

Yesterday, me and Winlove spent the whole afternoon until about early
evening over at his relative's house in Makati to attend his nephew's
birthday party. According to Winlove, the choices of food that was
served was very ordinary and not even half of their "usua" high
calibre menu. But for me, it was already delicious. Hey?! who am I to
complain when I have been lucky enough to be invited in the first place.

Half way through the party. I was surprised to see a D-List celebrity
among the guests. It was Marcus Madrigal together with the wife and
daughter. He looks very cute and surprisingly not that tall. For some
reason, he is way better looking in person than on screen. He did made
quite a stir among the other guests and for what I heard, he does have
a current TV show on channel 7 together with Regine Velasquez (Kim Sam
Soon). Maybe I can check it out and see if he really looks better in
person.

We arrived from the party past 9PM. Got settled in a bit and took a
shower. That is when I started feeling drowsy. I knew right away
something is not right so I took some antihistamine and was off to
dreamland shortly after.

Woohoo TGIF!!!

A little before lunch time, me and Joselite decided to meet and pay our dear friend - Marybogs a surprise visit. She told me last night, when we had a late evening snack at McDonalds with Gregory that she will be in Festival Mall to do her thing - MANG LAIT.
I think it will be a really nice idea for Joselite and Marybogs play catch-up, since they have not seen each other in a very long time.

Agenda for the day: confirmed

I asked Joselite if we can meet near SM Southmall then off to CitiGold for a bit before heading out to see Marybogs.

Done deal.

Soon as we walked inside the building, I asked Gregory to monitor her location and update us via SMS. But guess what? The tables were turned against us and the Fab Hag surprised us instead! She saw us walking and called our attention.

Air kisses here and there, and a dash of pang la-lait on the floor, then we head out to Santis to get some cold cuts.

After Santis, Joselite and Marybogs were already hungry so it's time to do lunch.
They ordered pork chops and soda. I on the other hand, not feeling hungry opted for coke zero.

After having lunch, we left Marybogs back to her "mission" in Festival mall and we head out to Rustans in Alabang Town Center to buy a gift. Joselite was able to find a really cute baby bag. I on the other hand, saw this cute young daddy carrying her daughter around the store. Too bad, I can't have him gift wrapped for later. Hahahhahaha

While shopping, Anton called to check what are we up to and after shopping for that baby bag. It's pretty much of a sleigh ride to Lala land and time to slow down. We decided to have coffee, talk trash about people and just be lazy for the rest of the afternoon.

It's almost 7PM and I needed to blog about how the day went. I have a couple of hours to rest before we head out tonight for OBLIGATORY Friday night booze.

Next stop: Malate
