get some sleep!

it wasn't until past 9AM when i checked my messages. there were 4 of
them and 2 came from Jerome. 1st message was sent around 640AM and he
is on his way to UP. yeah, go figure. again for the nth time, he
slept late again. yeah, around 5AM and up by 6AM. the next message
came in during his break, around 8AM.
i know for a fact that he will be very busy with the upcoming shoot
this weekend. meeting with the prePROD crew is today. how on earth
can you do it if you barely had a shut eye. tsk tsk tsk. im hoping he
gets it through the day and not pass out from being dead tired.

it's almost 1PM, no message from him. either he is busy with the
meeting or bundled somewhere and getting the sleep he needs.

**SIGH**

sorts. now, i can honestly say, i am tired and i need to rest.

Thank you Planet Romeo. You are indeed the friendliest planet in the
whole universe =)

Now, I am torn in buying this one or come as a renegade soldier.

I blog because it liberates me. Love the feeling that I can vent out,
rant, rave or even gossip and later on, look back on what it was all
about.
Then, seeing my cool and (few) loyal readers. It's always nice to see
them checking out my blog and making comments. I am getting online
love and you guys just made it possible.

Now, I am going to make a special shout out to one particular visitor
from San Juan, Batangas.
This fella religiously visits my blog all the time and I am at awe
that in times of no posts being made. This visitor never cease to
check my blog out.

So there, my lovely and loyal fan from Batangas. I would like to know
you and hopefully chat with you in real time. You can send me a
private message and let me know of your chat ID so I can thank you
personally.

Sunday at Kanin Club

I woke up late than usual and with it, comes with a ginormous appetite for the vernacular.

So right after I had ZRyan tires checked, I picked up my phone and dialed my closest demi socialite friends for a nice lunch, in a laid back and with honest to goodness pinoy fare this part of the metro and no less than Kanin Club.

In a matter of 2 hours. The Southern Demi Socialites managed to get their asses out of their buodoir and out on the streets to lunch.

When I got to Kanin Club, there was a long line of other customers. Mostly families with their lolo's or babies in tow, braving the mid day sun, patiently waiting to be seated. I walked up to the counter and asked the wait staff for a table. She asked for my name and soon as she started writing, my face cringed when I saw number 9 on the list. Looks like it's going to be quite a wait.

10 minutes, 25 minutes after and several changed standing locations while checking out the menu outside. We were finally called in to be seated.

Then there is another waiting game... for the food to arrive

But it's all worth the wait, if it's this scrumptious

Tasty pinakbet

The famous crispy dinuguan

Bistek tagalog

Enjoying the food like this one...

AND MORE =)

But some people are happy and busog...

Some, can't get enough...

Others, never get full

However, some are still waiting outside when lunch time is almost over.

Abel-Iluko Blanket

When I started planning this Vigan trip. I only have 2 things on my mind: Tongson's Royal bibingka and Abel-Iluko blankets.
Thoughts of burnay or shall I say, pottery also came into mind but it's just damn too heavy and bulky to stuff it at the back of the car so what the heck! I say pass. At least I have another reason to go back and go pottery shopping-spree.

It was a Monday, right around breakfast time. We headed straight to Ining Ramos' store at the Vigan town market before actually grabbing some food to eat. I made chika chika with manang Chris and started my search for the perfect king size Abel-Iluko blanket. There she showed me variety of sizes and colors to choose from, but I opted for the simple and elegant off white blankets that I so love. First, I just needed to pick out the "paki bili" (buy me) blankets for dear friends and once its all done... I can hear myself singing, "It's my turn".

Manang Chris showed me a few special order designs that she asked her assistant to pull out from the storage. Two different weave pattern, both divine and a little more expensive than the rest. My eyes were popping out and the greedy monster in me was saying.... buy both! buy both! even if I was armed with "preferred Vigan family discount" I choose a much simpler design -perfect for my bed. She also pulled a matching pair of pillow cases to go with the blanket. My heart was already racing and my jaw dropped to the floor. My day was panning out perfectly.

I made my purchase and promised to return again to make more purchase. Manang Chris was so happy. I even told her that I need to take pictures so I can blog about this and make the whole world know about her fabulous blankets and sorts. Who knows? people reading my blog or simply people searching for Abel-Iluko blankets can read about them here. So if ever you are in Vigan town. Head straight to the town market. Forget about Crisologo street. The prices there are way expensive and 98% of the blankets being sold there came from the town market. Who knows? it may came from Ining Ramos' treasure trove.
