The Tale of the Missing Rootbeer Soda

I know, I know...
It's been awfully long time since I made my last post. Been actually
avoiding it just for you guys to miss me. Even one of my girl friends
said "baduy ng blog, no post". Yeah, I hear you. There are many
reasons why the lack of post but I am not going to tell you.
Shempre, pa mysterious ng konti.

Anyhow, today I was sorta pissed. I took out a big ass bottle of
rootbeer soda for lunch. A few of the guys helped themselves and
there was at least half a bottle of it left for me. Not that I will
be drinking it in one sitting, but hey! it's my soda and there should
be more for me to consume. So there, around 4pm after I got up from
my nap. I headed out to the kitchen and looked for something to
drink. I remembered the soda and got me a big tall glass and filled
it with crushed ice from the dispenser. When I opened the fridge, my
big ass rootbeer soda is gone! someone had helped himself and leaving
me only with a freaking mouthful of it. I'm not kidding when I say a
MOUTHFUL. The contents that was left could hardly fill a small coffee
cup.

I stood for another minute looking at the evidence. My mind was
already plotting a genocide.

Then I closed the fridge door and sat on a chair by the kitchen
counter and staring on the floor.

Who the hell, drank it?

I saw Steve walked out of his room. Asked him and said, he did not
drink any of it apart from the share he got during lunch. Okay, I said.
Then minutes later, Josh came around the kitchen and I asked him the
same. His reply was, I don't like rootbeer soda. I said, fine.

Probably another 15 minutes have passed and Reggie walked in. I asked
if he drank my soda. His reply was a "no".

Now, I am getting really pissed thinking who the fuck emptied out my
soda bottle. I hate it when people steal specially - FOOD or anything
edible. That just ticks me off.
Tomorrow, I am going to get another bottle of soda and piss on it.
Heck! half a gallon of piss and toilet water for all I care and teach
those bastards a lesson. Let's see who gets sick first.

Le Target

Looky loo! what do I have in here from Target? stacks of Powerade sports drink.

Yes, I just have to HOARD big time.

Come on! for an 8-pack at $3.99, who wouldn't?
Besides, I drink up a lot of these stuff when I go to the gym. It's better that I get it cheap rather than pay $1 & change for the same thing at the gym.

After Target, I went to BestBuy to check for new gadgets. There were the usual suspects like PCs, home theater stuff, loads of cell phones and accessories and yes, vacuum cleaners too. Unfortunately, nothing really new interests me because I am practically in and out of the store 2-4x a week. So I just left.

Darn! if I wear my electric blue piqued shirt and khakis. I can really pass for a Sales Associates there. Oh well, I will be there again next week. *wink*

60-something and it still is a secret

After I got off the phone talking with Winlove. I decided to run to the store and get something for mom. It's her 60-something birthday and it will not pass by without any fuss. Okay, she said there will be no surprises whatsoever. In fact, she just want to have a quiet time at home and let her birthday come and go.

Well! thats not quite possible. After the phone call, I quickly ran to the store and got her these flowers. It's not that fabulous or anything but this will do. I also picked up some food that I will be preparing for dinner. Again, nothing fancy. Just your regular table fare. Okay, okay, I know you guys wanted to know. I will be broiling pork chops, tossed salad, baguette (I made a special spread and will toss it inside the oven), gefilte fish, coleslaw, baked potatoes and yes, PEPSI!

It's passed 7PM and I need to prep these food before she arrives at 730. Wish me luck!
So there mom, have a HAPPY 60-something Birthday!

Say Hello to *Hungry*

It was already past 10PM and *hungry* - my mortal enemy this late at night started calling my name to go into the kitchen. The darn thing was the pied piper of diet doom and played a tune that no mortal can resist - LATE NIGHT SNACK.

I found myself in trance and heading towards the kitchen. Seconds later, I was reaching out for the fridge and taking out this tub of Philly cheese and a bag of rye bread.

Yeah, I could've gone the whole nine yards and take out smoked salmon and bagel to complete this sin but! my other friend *lazy* pinched me on the side and said: "the bagel is in the pantry. its a few meters away and we don't want that" so I listened and settled for what was readily in front of me.

Chomp chomp chomp.
Here I was, tricked by the pied piper and this time, he had gone jewish on me.

Full Packed Day

I started the day quite early. Went to hear mass by myself and ran back home to change clothes, munch on something to eat then headed out to the gym with my buddy Fernando.
On the way to the gym, we were talking about his ex boyfriend (Sky) going around telling people that Fernando was stalking him. Like?! how the hell can you call it stalking if Fernando only went to check his myspace.com profile? I say that is pretty stupid. Half the time, Fernando was quite affected and was thinking how can that person be so insensitive. So at the gym, we worked our asses off and did a mean leg workout to shrug off the "stalking" issue. At around 430PM, soon after we finished working out. We decided to go to the beach and just spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing. We left the beach around 730PM and headed out for Chinese buffet before heading home.

I say this day rates a 9 out of 10.
We should be doing this often.

My 1st Sex toy

Around 730PM - just right after dinner. I was working on my computer
updating software and sorts. Then mom came around to hand me a
package that was left at the doorway. I heard her call my name and
said something about - "PACKAGE". I immediately stopped what I was
doing and at the back of my head, I knew where the package came from
and what is inside. Blood rushing... feeling excited and secretly
hoping that she won't ask me where it came from and heaven forbid,
ask me to open it in front of her. If that ever happens, I will
probably start to cry and pack my suitcases and leave.

I met her at the hallway towards the living room and she just handed
me over this brown box. Smiled, pretended it's nothing like trying to
look cool and uninterested and thanked her. I retreated back to my
room and set the box on top of my bed and staring at it for at least
a minute or so. Void of any sound... just absorbing the moment.

Then I thought, shit! I need to blog this. Took out my camera and
click click.

So boys and girls, let me introduce you to my new toy - my soon to be
forever( hope it doesn't wear off quickly) buddy. Ooops, I completely
forget. My "BF when real BF is not around".

DRUM ROLL................

HAHAHA :) My hands are actually shaky taking this shot.

OH MY~!

Okay, this is the part where I am already laughing.

Still laughing my ass off.

WTF! I tried peeking into the hole and there are lots of bumps inside and sticking my finger inside is already a trip.

TEE HEE HEE

I AM OFFICIALLY A...       P E R V E R T

Oh well, I have to put this away for a few hours. I still need to watch TV.

Bluer than blue

After my trip to Los Angeles, I accidentally spilled some bleach on
my favorite workout shorts that my bf gave me. It's original color
was gray and there were lots of bleach marks on the front side of one
leg. It was nasty. totally EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK. So I decided to do
another experiment: Operation Change Color

I opted for a navy blue one since it's one of my favorite color and
the safest and easiest to work with. I went to wal-mart and got me 2
packet fabric dye (RITS) and gallons of boiling water with salt.
Soaked it over night and VOILA! it's perfect.

At least I can still use it to go to the gym, unlike what my bf told
me to do: HOUSE WEAR

I say, NOT :)

Food: nowhere to run

If there are things in this world that you can not live without, it certainly is FOOD. hands down.
I've been trying to watch what I eat for the past year. Counting calories and reading the nutrition info at the back of almost all food packages just to check how "healthy" the food I am about to gobble up. There are times also that I lock myself up in the room so I can pretend that i am asleep and no one will bother me to eat. I have dodged a lot of dining invites too in the past because I just find it horrifying to eat a lot and not be able to say no. The list of reasons go on and on.

Earlier this afternoon after waking up from my nap. Mom told me that we are going to eat out again. Hah! what's new about that? we practically eat out 4x in a week. I miss our china and flatware for they have not been taken out for quite some time.

Yeah, eating out is fine. But where will you go if most of the establishments that you go out to know you by first name!? It's like an extension of our dining table and the friendly wait-staff are like family. Not that it's bad but it can get quite BORRRRRRRing after a while. So we decided to go to this place nearby that we have not visited yet, Rib City.

At first, I was bracing myself for a crappy meal but low and behold! it was actually good!

I had beef strips cut thinly with homemade coleslaw, bbq beans and bread. Mom on the other hand, had shrimp salad. We also had fries covered in 3 kind of cheeses for appetizers. Not bad at all huh? Plus! the dressing that goes with it is a knock out! Spicy Ranch dressing. I even asked our server how did they prepare it. She was clueless but we do both agreed that it's really good stuff and she enjoyed it too.

SO here are some photos for you to look at. Snap Snap Snap!

Taco Bell

It's fun to blog about food. I don't know why. It may be about beluga
caviar or just down right simple - like this!

Woke up around 10am on a Saturday. Quite late if I may say so but can
you blame me for oversleeping a couple of hours late? I came from a
straight club the night before with a gay friend of mine. We had
nothing to do so we checked it out. Then came the morning after the
revelry. I woke up feeling super hungry. Checked out the fridge but
all I see was the usual breakfast suspects - sausage, bacon, eggs &
milk.

BAH! don't want that.

I want something really heavy. something filling. something that will
make me fart for eating that much.

Then the words came up in my head: TACO BELL

Jumped into the shower, grabbed my keys and drove little less than 3
miles and I found myself ordering 7-layer nachos and 1/2lb beef burrito.
It was Mexican heaven.

New Gym

Yesterday was my first day at the new gym.
There is nothing fancy about it like NY Health and Racket Club but it do serves its purpose - to keep me fit and not be a michelin boy!

I walked in around 8am and to my surprise, there were a lot of people busy being healthy. Some are in dire need of a liposuction and the others, errmmm whatever. The 2 receptionists greeted me well and their faces were beaming knowing that I am the new sucker guy who just became a member where they can squeeze out money from each month.

Let me tell you about the facilities and let's start with parking lot. Okay, its just directly in front of the gym. No need to walk that very far and the cars are fairly safe. I've seen a couple of Porches and loads of BMWs, so what do that tell you? Moneyed and prissy gay guys! so that's a big CHECK! Next, the equipments, now this is a little bit different from what I am used to back in my old and haute couture gym. I tried using one of their machines and stood there for a good 2 minutes doing nothing. I felt like the people around me where watching what this duffus is doing or SHOULD be doing on the machine. So I called one of the staff (Tiffany what a name!~ all of a sudden it reminded me of Britney Spears or Debbie Gibson. Heck! I told myself, Dorothy... we are not UPTOWN anymore. Hahahhahahha There, Tiffany helped me out and told me that I need to actually STEP and MOVE so the equipment will start to turn on. In my head? what? its not completely PUSH BUTTON?! I panicked a bit after hearing that came out of her mouth. Then again, she was nice and I just have to shut up and vent out later after my workout. 15 minutes doing machine cardio, DONE and OVER. I moved to the free weights area. Okay, again, for the Nth time. The machines are quite "manual" compared to my old gym. The paint color for their hardware is purple! Cheesy for my taste really and its not well cushioned. Again, I'm here for a workout and not be pampered in a SPA (Banyan Tree or Ritz Carlton style). Did my routine for an hour and got to observe the other members who are working out. Not really bad actually, they look decent and friendly too. A couple of latino boys smiled at me while im doing my Arnold press exercise. I caught them looking into the mirror, so I smiled back. The other - more "yummy" guy and not to mention wearing a little bit too tight trainers that shows a little bit too much of his "package" under normal wear circumstance kept on smiling. I prolonged my smile and nod. After that, I left the area and did my stretching. Okay, for the first time, I did stretched without the aid of a machine. The gym have this half of a cage type machine where you hang your leg on a rail and do stretches. I even caught the name of the machines as Ultimate Stretch. Like what the hell is ultimate in that where you do not know exactly how to use it. My verdict: ultimate piece of crap collecting a lot of space. Nuff said.

Then the lockers... okay, this is quite shocking for me when I checked in earlier to put away my stuff. In my old gym, the locks were all automatic and you use your membership card to lock it. This one, you have to provide your own PADLOCK and the locker door is made out of metal mesh, you can actually see the contents inside! This reminded me of Catalina Videos - lockers without the steamy scenes! Hahahhahaha To be very honest,  this is quite a horror for me because after checking out the locks that the other members were using, It's as big as the ones they use in an armored vehicle! Master, Yale, The Club - all the major brands were present and lined up to protect the members' belongings. To be honest, this is the part where in I am most concerned about - there could be possible breaking in and stealing, you know. So I took out my teeny tiny palladium lock from my LV bag and used it instead to lock my gym locker. HAH! if the thief knows his stuff. My locker will be the first one to get ransacked. Goodbye worldly possessions! Goodbye!

Now for the Pièce de résistance!

The shower -
Okay, there are no solid doors to cover you but a flimsy no non-sense plastic shower curtain that was cut a little less than the shower frame its supposed to cover. Not that I am a prude and ashamed of my body if somebody sees me naked. It's just that I am not used to being seen washing and soaping my private parts where people can actually have a peek. It will feel weird. The standard issue body wash was left untouched. I didn't bother smelling it. I brought mine.

SO there. That was my first day gym experience. I will be back this Monday and see how it goes, again....

CVS cash rebate and an extra $5.00 gift from who?

Went to the CVS drugstore early this morning to pick up something (not somebody, okay?)
paid the $5.95 item at the counter using my $3.00 rebate coupon and the difference with cash. Walked out of the store and seconds later, this lady who was also coming out of the store tapped me on the shoulder and said.....

"Did you just got out of the store? You dropped something near the counter, $5.00 and the cashier is holding it for you"

I don't know what came over me but to go back inside and approach the cashier.

She smiled at me and said, "you're back!"

I smiled and she handed me a $5.00 bill thanked her and walked away.

Then I got to thinking..... I know for a fact that all the singles I have were used to pay for the item I just bought and all I am left of with now are just 20s.
Who dropped the $5.00? definitely not mine
the cashier?
the lady who tapped me on the shoulder?

WHATEVER?!

I have it now and I can use an extra $5.00 for lunch.

Jet 1.20.2008

Yesterday was quite a sad day for me. I lost my favorite pet pigeon named Jet.
I acquired him from two kids (Jet & Jonard) selling pigeon at a local pet market who insisted that I take the pair for just P300. At first, I was very adamant in saying no, simply because I already have too many pigeons but eventually shrugged it off and accepted it. For almost 7 months that passed, this pair quickly became my favorite. Jet and Jona were simply good looking and awesome flyers. Every time I let them off for a training toss, it's always these two who comes home first.

Horror came when I checked on them last Sunday morning. All of the other pigeons were already outside of the loft and doing their business. When I went inside to have a look, I saw Jet quietly sitting inside their nesting box. I took him out to see what's wrong. I practically jump out of my skin when I saw that underneath Jet's feathers around the neck, there is a very deep wound that looked like its been bitten off. I immediately looked around if there are any holes that a rat may have used to enter and to my surprise, there is a huge opening at one of the bottom corner of the loft.

I suddenly felt sad. Knowingly that Jet will not make it through for the next couple of days. I even thought of taking his life to end his pain from the attack but I just simply can't do it. Not to my favorite pigeon. I put Jet back inside the nesting box and took out some meds to clean his wound. While carefully shaving off the feathers around his neck, I saw how deep the wound was. This made me feel resigned that Jet will be leaving me soon.

After cleaning his wound, I sat on the deck to watching the other pigeons. My attention was drawn to Jona, Jet's mate and saw her hanging out with another male pigeon. This is quite strange since I know for a fact that pigeons are very loyal to their partners. After closely watching these two, I immediately know that Jona have found a new partner.

I thought to myself, maybe Jet had told Jona that she will be better off to find a new partner from now on since he is not going to make it through the attack. So she did! and QUICK.

Days had passed since the attack, Jet had hold up and fought to live but the wound was really large and it will be quite impossible for him to survive. That morning when I cared for his wound, I saw Jet's eyes were teary and there was blood oozing out of his nose. I wiped it off with a piece of cotton, placed him back inside the nesting loft and gently stroked the top of his head and said my goodbye. I knew right away that it will be the last time I will see him alive and thanked him for the time he gave me joy when I will sit out on the deck and watch them fly.

Around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, there came in a text message from Gelyn. It reads: "Kuya, wala na si jet" (Jet is gone)

I texted back and told her that I will be coming home soon.

The minute I arrived, I asked my brother to take off Jet's leg band and give it to me and the only way you can do that is to cut off the leg and slip it right out. Quite cruel if you may, but I just want to have something from Jet to make me remember him.

To Jet, I wish you peace.... go fly up in the sky and soar as high as you can. I will see you again someday at the foot of that Rainbow Bridge.

Ukay-UK

Last night was a hoot!
Coming from the mall with my 2 friends (Joselite & Greg) we were invited to have dinner over at Marga's house. Nothing fancy but what we are really after is their famous dish: Laing (Taro leaves cooked with coconut milk) cooked by uncle Domeng and of course, another chance to see Marga and do what we do best, trash talk other people! hahahaha. So it was a unanimous decision that we need to score a space and savor that wonderful dish. En route to Marga's house, we passed by an ukay ukay store nearby. We were actually running late for dinner but Greg yanked us to drop by and check out their new arrivals. Boy! let me tell you... there were so much stuff that I ended up buying this really cool sweatshirt by A Bathing Ape for only P180 (US$4). We could have stayed for long and rummage their stuff but we were really late for dinner so we left in a hurry and forgot to get some dessert. After dinner, Marga asked me to make a signboard for her new hobby.

Guess what?

She is going sell ukay ukay stuff!
